This program will cover the basics of building science in residential construction, focusing mainly on moisture and its role in building performance.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss basic definitions of building science and its role in the construction industry.
  • Understand the fundamentals of moisture and relative humidity.
  • Distinguish between the effects of high and low humidity in homes.
  • Identify basic strategies used to prevent problems related to moisture in homes.
