Description

On July 9th, 2013, Governor Corbett signed Act 54 (HB 784), the Development Permit Extension Act, which suspends and extends permits and approvals pertaining to zoning, land planning, land development, building, construction and related activities until at least July 2, 2016. This webinar will explain the scope of what is regulated by this Act 54 and compare it to the previous permit extension acts, Act 87 of 2012, and Act 46 of 2010.

  • Provide some degree of economic relief for various land development, land use and construction activities
  • Avoid the process and expense of obtaining new approvals and permits or renewing existing ones at full cost
  • Compensate, in part, for the sluggish economy
